About Brecon Athletic Club

Brecon Athletic Club is based in the Powys town of Brecon, within the Brecon Beacons National Park. The club caters for all ages and abilities, with groups for Track and Field, Cross Country and Road Running events.

Training takes place at the 400m Penlan track (postcode LD3 9SR) throughout the year although some of the younger athletes will train within the adjacent sports facilities at the leisure centre and high school in the indoor/cross country season (September to March). Training for all ages is on Mondays with an extra session for older athletes on Wednesday or Thursdays. See Club Information for more details on training times for each group.

There is also a social running group (Happy Feet) who train on Tuesdays and Thursdays - see their drop down menu above

Training fees are £3 per session, the first two sessions are free. Membership fees apply for athletes who wish to continue training and competing for the club.

We have a closed group on Facebook for current members - Brecon Athletic Club. We also have a public page for all interested athletes and parents - Brecon AC.

Brecon AC is currently sponsored by The Audrey Tyler Trust who provided a very generous grant in order to help the club and interested associates set up a parkrun in Brecon.
